Happy is the Person Who Has God's Help - Psalms 146:5

In Psalms one hundred and forty six the Psalmist said, “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish”, and in chapter one hundred forty six and verse five of Psalms the Psalmist said, “happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help where we read,

Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

The verse begins, Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, .... The Psalmist began with the words, “happy is he” or “blessed exists the person whether male or female” “that has the God of Jacob” which means “who possesses the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God belonging to Jacob whose name means heel-catcher or supplanter and was the son of Isaac, grandson of Abraham and father of the twelve patriarchs of the tribes of Israel” “for his help” or “on behalf of his, the person whether male or female's, succor, aid and assistance”. The Psalmist said the person who possesses Jehovah God who belonged to “Jacob” for their assistance and aid exists as blessed.

The verse goes on to say, “... whose hope is in the LORD his God:” The Psalmist continued with the words, “whose hope” or “whose expectation” “is in the LORD” which means “exists within Jehovah God who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “his God” or “his, the person whether male or female's, Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. The Psalmist said the person is blessed who has their expectation within the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God who is Jehovah God.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how the Psalmist declared the person who possesses Jehovah God whom “Jacob” worshiped to be blessed by His aid and assistance. These people have place their expectations in Jehovah God who is the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God of the Universe. God wants a personal relationship like this with us through His Son Jesus, and He sent Him into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us to rely upon Him for “help” and “hope” as we live in this world.

Next time the Psalmist shares how Jehovah God, made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
