The LORD is Near - Psalms 145:18

In Psalms one hundred and forty five David said to Jehovah God, “the LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works”, and in chapter one hundred and forty five and verse eighteen of Psalms David said, “the LORD is near unto all them that call upon himwhere we read,

The LORD is near unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

The verse begins, The LORD is near unto all them that call upon him, .... David began with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God” “is near unto all” which means “exists close, allied, at hand and ready for each, every, the whole and everyone” “that call upon him” or “who cries out, shouts aloud, utters a loud sound and makes proclamation to him, Jehovah God”. David said Jehovah God is close and at hand to everyone who cries out to Him.

The verse goes on to say,... to all that call upon him in truth.” David continued with the words, “to all” or “toward each, every, the whole and everyone” “that call upon him” which means “who cries out, shouts aloud, utters a loud sound and makes proclamation” “in truth” or “within faithfulness, firmness, sureness, reliability, stability and continuance”. David said Jehovah God is close to every person who cries out to Him in faithfulness and continuance.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see learn how David knew Jehovah God was close to every person who cries out to Him in faithfulness and reliability. God's standard is “truth” according to His word, and because Jesus is “the way, the truth and the life” (See John 14:6), anyone may call out to God through Jesus and be heard. God wants to have a personal relationship with us through Jesus who died on the cross for our sins, and when we yield our lives to Him as our “Lord and Savior”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life, stay close to us and respond when we “call out to Him in truth”.

Next time David says Jehovah God, will fulfill the desire of them that fear him, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
