Praise God Sun and Moon - Psalms 148:3

In Psalms one hundred and forty eight the Psalmist said, “Praise you the LORD. Praise you the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise you him, all his angels: praise you him, all his hosts”, and in Psalms one hundred and forty eight and verse three of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Praise you him, sun and moon” where we read,

Praise you him, sun and moon: praise him, all you stars of light.

The verse begins, Praise you him, sun and moon:. The Psalmist began with the words, “praise you him” or “give thanksgiving, adoration and worship to him, Jehovah God”, “sun and moon” which refers to “the sun in the daytime sky and the moon or lunar body in the nighttime sky”. The Psalmist called upon Jehovah God's “sun and moon” to give Him adoration and thanksgiving.

The verse continues, “praise him, all you stars of light” The Psalmist added the words, “praise him” or “give thanksgiving, adoration and worship to him, Jehovah God”, “all you stars of light” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of the luminous celestial bodies”. The Psalmist called upon Jehovah God's illuminated celestial bodies in the sky to give Him adoration and thanksgiving.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist called upon Jehovah God's celestial bodies in the sky to give honor, glory and thanksgiving to God. God created the universe in such a way that it naturally gives honor to Him, and He wants us to “praise” Him as well. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, we align with His creation, are forgiven of our sins and receive everlasting life with Him. Let all praise, honor and glory be given unto Jehovah God by His celestial bodies and the people He has made.

Next time the Psalmist say, “Praise him, you heavens of heavens”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
