The LORD Upholds All that Fall - Psalms 145:14

In Psalms one hundred and forty five David said to Jehovah God, “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations”, and in chapter one hundred and forty five and verse fourteen of Psalms David said, “the LORD upholds all that fall” where we read,

The LORD upholds all that fall, and raises up all those that be bowed down.

The verse begins, “The LORD upholds all that fall, ...”. David began with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “upholds all” which means “supports, sustains, refreshes and revives each, every, the whole and everyone” “that fall” or “that is cast down, prostrate, settled and wasted away”. David said Jehovah God sustains every person who is cast down and wasted away.

The verse goes on to say, “...and raises up all those that be bowed down.” David continued with the words, “and raises up” or “and lifts and comforts” “all those that be bowed down” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of the people whether male or female who are bent low, distressed and humiliated”. David said Jehovah God comforts every person who is humiliated and distressed.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David knew Jehovah God would sustain every person who is cast down, and He would uplift everyone who humbles themselves before Him. God loves us, and His desire is to save us for all eternity. We have sin in our lives that separates us from a personal relationship with Him, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross so that we can believe in Him and be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and sustained and uplifted as we are “bowed down” before Him.

Next time David says of Jehovah God, “the eyes of all wait on you”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
