Great is the LORD - Psalms 145:3

In Psalms one hundred and forty five David said, “Every day will I bless you; and I will praise your name for ever and ever”, and in chapter one hundred and forty five and verse three of Psalms David said, Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praisedwhere we read,

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: and his greatness is unsearchable.

The verse begins, Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: David began with the words, “great is the LORD” or “large, intense and important exists Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “and greatly to be praised” which means “and exceeding, abundant and wholly worthy to make a boast, commend, make laudable and celebrate”. David said Jehovah God exists as large and important, and He is exceedingly and abundantly worthy to be commended and celebrated.

The verse continues, and his greatness is unsearchable.David added the words, “and his greatness” or “and his, Jehovah God's, mighty acts, dignity and majesty” “is unsearchable” which means “exists as without the ability to find out, number, examine, enumerate or deliberate”. David said the mighty acts and majesty of Jehovah God are incapable of being fully numbered, examined or enumerated.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David exalted Jehovah God. God is so big, and He is worthy of our honor, thanksgiving and glory. He is so wonderful that we shall never have the ability to discover everything about him, and yet, He wants to have a personal intimate relationship with us. God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent, and in all His “greatness”, He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins. He offers us forgiveness of sins, salvation and eternal life when we surrender our lives to Him, and as we consider the “greatness” of Almighty God, let us humble ourselves before Him, repent of our sins and give Him praise and honor for all eternity.

Next time David says, one generation shall praise your works to another, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
