Our Oxen Strong - Psalms 144:14

In Psalms one hundred and forty four David said to Jehovah God, “Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace. That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets”, and in chapter one hundred and forty four and verse fourteen of Psalms David said, that our oxen may be strong to laborwhere we read,

That our oxen may be strong to labor;

that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

The verse begins, That our oxen may be strong to labor; David began with the words, “that our oxen” or “so our, David and his fellow countrymen's, docile and tame bullocks or cows” “may be strong to labor” which means “might exist as powerful enough to bear a load, drag oneself along and laded to work or bear a burden”. David desired that his and his fellow countrymen's cattle would be powerful enough to bear and load or burden.

The verse continues,that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.” David added the words, “that there be no breaking in” or “so there would not exist any breach, gap, bursting forth or outburst”, “nor going out” which means “not any exiting, departing and proceeding”; “that there be no complaining” or “so there would in no way exist outcry, shouting or crying in anguish” “in our streets” which means “within our, David and his fellow countrymen's, ways, broad places or plazas”. David did not want any breach, gap or exit to be available, and that no one would shout or cry out in anguish within the broad places or plazas.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David desired to have his and his fellow countrymen's cattle to be powerful enough to bear a burden, and there would not be any breach or crying in anguish within their fields and roadways. David relied upon God to make his cattle strong, and he needed Jehovah God to protect their exits. When he and the people felt secure, they would not cry out or shout. God wants to have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and prosper and keep not only us, but also what He has provided to us.

Next time David says, happy is that people, that is in such a case, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
