Rid and Deliver Me - Psalms 144:11

In Psalms one hundred and forty four David said, “It is he that gives salvation unto kings: who delivers David his servant from the hurtful sword”, and in chapter one hundred and forty four and verse eleven of Psalms David said to Jehovah God, “rid me, and deliver me” where we read,

Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children,

whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

The verse begins, “Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, ...” David began with the words, “rid me” or “separate, part and snatch me, David, away”, “and deliver me” which means “and rescue, save and liberate me, David” “from the hand” or “separate and apart from the hand of power, might, strength and authority” “of strange children” which means “belonging to alien, foreign and heathen offspring and progeny”. David appealed to Jehovah God to snatch him away and rescue him from the power and authority of foreign and heathen offspring.

The verse goes on to say, “... whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:” David continued with the words, “whose mouth” or “whose, the foreign offspring, orifice in the face used for drinking, eating and speaking” “speaks vanity” which means “utters, declares and proclaims emptiness, falsehood and lying”, “and their right hand” or “and their, the evil offspring's, right hand of power, strength and authority” “is a right hand of falsehood” which means “exists as a right hand of power, strength and authority, pertaining to emptiness, lying, deception, disappointment, fraud and wrong”. David referred to the “mouth” of the evil offspring uttering falsehoods and lies, and using their power and authority to be fake and deceptive as well.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David beckoned Jehovah God to separate him from the power and authority of foreign offspring. These wicked people used their voices to utter empty and false words, and their right hands of authority were fake and empty. God knows the status of every person, and He is well aware those who are wicked and those who align with Him. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Lord and Savior”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and contend with people who use their voices to speak falsely and their authority to abuse His believers.

Next time David says, “that our sons may be as plants grown up”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
