Heaven, Earth and All Made by God - Psalms 146:6

In Psalms one hundred and forty six the Psalmist said, “Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God”, and in chapter one hundred forty six and verse six of Psalms the Psalmist shared how Jehovah God, made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is where we read,

Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keeps truth for ever:

The verse begins, Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is:. The Psalmist began with the words, “which made heaven” or “who fashioned, produced and prepared the visible sky, the atmosphere, abode of the stars and celestial bodies and the dwelling place of Jehovah God”, “and earth” which means “and the land, ground, territory, district, county and world”, “the sea” or “the large body of water such as the Mediterranean, Red and Dead seas”, “and all that therein is” which means “and each, every, the whole and everything that exists within the earth and sea”. The Psalmist said the person who puts their hope in Jehovah God believes in Almighty God who created the skies, atmosphere, stars, His dwelling place, the world, the large bodies of water and everything that is within them.

The verse continues, “which keeps truth for ever:” The Psalmist added the words, “which keeps truth” or “who guards, watches over, observes, retains and treasures up firmness, faithfulness, sureness, reliability, stability and continuance” “for ever” which means “for long duration, perpetually, unto futurity, everlasting and unto perpetuity”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God watches over and observes faithfulness and reliability eternally.

When we mediate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist referred to the creative power of Jehovah God as he validated the reason people should put their “hope and faith” in Him. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1), and “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:1) God is worthy of our trust, and He desires to have a personal relationship with us through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. When we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and show us His creative power and “truth” that lasts forever and ever.

Next time the Psalmist shares how Jehovah God, “executes judgment for the oppressed”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
