Send Your Hand From Above - Psalms 144:7

In Psalms one hundred and forty four David said to Jehovah God concerning his enemies, “Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out your arrows, and destroy them”, and in chapter one hundred and forty four and verse seven of Psalms David said to Jehovah God, send your hand from abovewhere we read,

Send your hand from above;

rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;

The verse begins, Send your hand from above; David began with the words, “send your hand” or “stretch out, extend and let loose your, Jehovah God's, hand of might, power and authority” “from above” which means “separate and apart from the elevated, lofty and upward place”. David wanted Jehovah God to stretch out His mighty hand of power from the elevated place.

The verse goes on to say, “rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;” David continued with the words, “rid me” or “snatch away and set me, David, free”, “and deliver me” which means “and save, rescue and liberate me, David” “out of great waters” or “from numerous, abundant and exceedingly strong and violent water courses and floods”, “from the hand of strange children” which means “separate and apart from the mighty, strong and authoritative hand belonging to alien, foreign and heathen offspring and progeny”. David desired that God snatch away and rescue him from violent water courses and the offspring of foreign and heathen people.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David knew to appeal to Jehovah God for deliverance and rescue from his opposing foes. David understood that no one could resist or stop the power of Almighty God, and David depended upon Him for protection and salvation. God wants us to do the same. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and stand ready to employ His mighty power to deliver us from violent floods and powerful offspring of those who refuse and reject Him.

Next time David says about the strange children, whose mouth speaks vanity, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
