Praise the LORD from the Heavens - Psalms 148:1

Psalms one hundred and forty eight begins with the words, “Praise you the LORD”, and in verse one of Psalms one hundred and forty eight the Psalmist said, “Praise you the LORD from the heavens” where we read,

Praise you the LORD. Praise you the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

The verse begins, Praise you the LORD. Praise you the LORD from the heavens:. The Psalmist began with the words, “Praise you” or you, people who are reading and listening to the Psalmist's words, give thanksgiving, adoration and worship to” “the LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. “Praise you” or “you, people who are reading and listening to the Psalmist's words, give thanksgiving, adoration and worship to” “the LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “from the heavens” or “even to and more than the visible sky, abode of the stars, the atmosphere and the dwelling place of God”. The Psalmist exhorted his readers and listeners to give adoration and thanksgiving to Jehovah God even unto the visible sky, atmosphere and celestial dwelling of Jehovah God.

The verse continues, “praise him in the heights.” The Psalmist added the words, “praise him” or “give adoration, thanksgiving and worship to him, Jehovah God” “in the heights” which means “within the elevated places, from above and on high”. The Psalmist repeated the idea of his readers and listeners giving adoration and thanksgiving to Jehovah God from elevated and high places.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist wanted people hearing or reading his words to give honor, glory and adoration to Jehovah God not only from the visible sky and celestial heavens, but also from the elevated places. God is worthy of our praise, and because He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, it proves His love for us. When we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us an opportunity to give Him honor and adoration from the celestial and elevated places in Heaven.

Next time the Psalmist say, “Praise you him, all his angels”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
