Praise God All His Angels - Psalms 148:2

In Psalms one hundred and forty eight the Psalmist said, “Praise you the LORD. Praise you the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights”, and in Psalms one hundred and forty eight and verse two of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Praise you him, all his angels” where we read,

Praise you him, all his angels: praise you him, all his hosts.

The verse begins, Praise you him, all his angels:. The Psalmist began with the words, “praise you him” or “give thanksgiving, adoration and worship to him, Jehovah God”, “all his angels” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of his, Jehovah God's, spiritual envoys or messengers”. The Psalmist exhorted all the “angels” of Jehovah God to give Him thanksgiving and adoration.

The verse goes on to say, “praise you him, all his hosts.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “praise you him” or “give thanksgiving, adoration and worship to him, Jehovah God” “all his hosts” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of Jehovah God's organized army or mass of angels”. The Psalmist exhorted the masses of “angels” within Jehovah God's spiritual army to give Him thanksgiving and adoration.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist told the “angels” and “army of angels” to give adoration to Jehovah God. God wants all His created beings to worship Him, and when they do, they align with His plan and purpose for their lives. In other words, God's created beings are benefited when they worship Him. God wants to have a personal relationship with all of us through His Son Jesus whom He sent into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to join the “angels” and their “hosts” in giving honor, praise and glory to Him forever and ever.

Next time the Psalmist say, “Praise you him, sun and moon”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
