I Will Sing a New Song unto God - Psalms 144:9

In Psalms one hundred and forty four David said to Jehovah God about his enemies, “Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out your arrows, and destroy them. Send your hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children. Whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood”, and in chapter one hundred and forty four and verse nine of Psalms David said to Jehovah God, I will sing a new song unto youwhere we read,

I will sing a new song unto you, O God:

upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto you.

The verse begins, I will sing a new song unto you, O God: David began with the words, “I will sing a new song” or “I, David, shall make vocal music with a fresh musical or lyrical ode” “unto you” which means “toward you, Jehovah God”, “O God” or “O Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. David shared how he would make music with his voice toward the Divine judge Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say, “upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto you.” David continued with the words, “upon a psaltery” or “on a skin-bag, bottle, pitcher, lute or harp” “and an instrument of ten strings” which means “and a ten-stringed harp or lyre” “will I sing praises unto you” or “shall I make musical adorations and worship to you, Jehovah God”. David shared how he would use a lute, harp and a ten-stringed instrument to offer worship unto Jehovah God.

When we think through David's words in this verse, we learn how he began to worship Jehovah God with music performed with his voice and musical instruments. God wants us to worship Him, and when we give Him adoration, we align with His purpose and plan for our lives. John the apostle wrote, “you are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created” (See Revelation 4:11), and when we surrender our lives to God's Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins, we will be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and be inspired to “sing and make music with instruments” of worship to Him.

Next time David says, it is he that gives salvation unto kings, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
