In Psalms one hundred and three David said, “The LORD has prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom rules over all”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse twenty of Psalms David said, “Bless the LORD, you his angels” where we read,
Bless the LORD, you his angels, that excel in strength,
that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
The verse begins, “Bless the LORD, you his angels, that excel in strength, ...” David began with the words, “Bless the LORD” or “salute, kneel to and praise Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “you his angels” which means “you his, Jehovah God's, messengers, ambassadors and envoys”, “that excel in strength” or “who are strong and brave in power, might and ability”. David instructed Jehovah God's messengers and envoys who were mighty and strong in power and ability.
The verse goes on to say, “... that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” David continued with the words, “that do his commandments” or “who perform, fashion, accomplish and produce his, Jehovah God's, speeches, words and utterances”, “hearkening unto the voice” which means “hearing, listening and being obedient to the sound and noise” “of his word” or “pertaining to his, Jehovah God's, speaking, uttering and declaring”. David said the people who perform Jehovah God's speeches and listen to and obey His declarations are also among the people who are strong and mighty.
When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David instructed the people who served as messengers and envoys for Jehovah God to be strong and brave in power and might, and these people guarded over and performed His laws, speeches and utterances. When people recognize and believe in the provision God has made for our salvation, we realize that He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives unto Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us to listen, practice and obey His commandments and words.
Next time David says, “Bless you the LORD, all you his hosts”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
