In Psalms one hundred and three David said, “As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children. To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse nineteen of Psalms David said, “the LORD has prepared his throne in the heavens” where we read,
The LORD has prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom rules over all.
The verse begins, “The LORD has prepared his throne in the heavens;” David began with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “has prepared his throne” which means “has established, secured, made firm and stabled his, Jehovah God's, seat of honor, royal dignity, authority and power” “in the heavens” or “within the visible skies, atmosphere and dwelling place of God”. David said Jehovah God made firm and established his seat of honor, royal dignity and power within the skies, atmosphere and His heavenly abode.
The verse continues, “and his kingdom rules over all.” David added the words, “and his kingdom” or “and his, Jehovah God's, and sovereign royal power” “rules over all” which means “has dominion, reign and control above each, every, the whole and everyone of the people”. David said Jehovah God's royal power has dominion over every person and nation.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David said Jehovah God established and made firm His royal dignity, authority, power within the “heavens” above, and His sovereign power reigns over every people group. God is the ultimate power giver and ruler, and He decided to have a personal intimate relationship with every person through His Son Jesus. Jesus was sent to the earth to die for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be a part of His “kingdom” in this life and the next.
Next time David says, “Bless the LORD, you his angels”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
