Come With Me - Song of Songs 4:8

In the book of Song of Songs, Solomon shared how the groom said to the bride, “You are all fair, my love; there is no spot in you”, and in chapter four and verse eight of Song of Songs, Solomon shared how the groom said to the bride, come with me from Lebanon where we read,

Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana,

from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.

The verse begins, Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, ...Solomon began with the words, “come with me” or “advance and proceed alongside me, the groom” “from Lebanon” which means “separate and apart from Lebanon whose name means whiteness and was a wooded mountain range on the northern border of Israel”, “my spouse” or “the groom's, wedded bride”, “with me from Lebanon” which means “alongside and beside me, the groom, separate and apart from Lebanon whose name means whiteness and was a wooded mountain range on the norther border of Israel”: “look from the top” or “lay wait, behold, observe and regard separate and apart from the summit, upper part and height” “of Amana” which means “belonging to Amana whose name means support and was a river flowing into the plain of Damascus from Antilebanon”. Solomon shared how the groom invited his bride to proceed alongside him from the wooded mountain range known as “Lebanon” to “Amana” to make an observation from the pinnacle.

The verse goes on to say, ... from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards. Solomon continued with the words, “from the top of Shenir” or “separate and apart from the summit, upper part and height belonging to Shenir whose name means snow mountain and was the Amorite name for Mount Hermon” “and Hermon” which means “and Hermon whose name means a sanctuary and was a mountain on the northeastern border of Palestine and Lebanon and overlooking the border city of Dan”, “from the lions' dens” or “separate and apart from the the young lions' dwelling, habitation, refuge and lair” “from the mountains” which means “separate and apart from the risings above the plains” “of the leopards” or “belonging to the spotted leopards”. Solomon shared how the groom included mount “Shenir” and “Hermon” in which there were dwelling places for “lions” and “leopards” within the risings above the plains.

When we meditate upon Solomon's words in this verse, we learn how the groom invited his bride to depart with him from “Lebanon” to the mountain pinnacles of “Amana, Shenir and Hermon” where the dwelling places of “lions” were located and “leopards” roamed within the risings above the plain. The groom wanted his bride to be with him, and He beckoned her to go with Him. God also desires that we come with Him through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins, and when we surrender our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and guide us by His Holy Spirit into all truth and into His perfect plan and purpose for our lives.

Next time Solomon shares how the groom says, you have ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
