In the book of Proverbs Solomon said Jehovah God's wisdom was present, “While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth. When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep. When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth”, and in chapter eight and verse thirty of Proverbs Solomon said wisdom, “was by him, as one brought up with him” where we read,
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him:
and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
The verse begins, “Then I was by him, as one brought up with him:” Solomon began with the words, “then I was by him” or “at that time I, wisdom, existed alongside and beside him, Jehovah God”, “as one brought up with him” which means “in likeness and similar to a person who acted as an artificer, architect or maser and skilled workman alongside and beside him, Jehovah God”. Solomon shared how “wisdom” not only accompanied Jehovah God, but also acted as an artificer and master workman alongside of Him.
The verse goes on to say, “and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;” Solomon continued with the words, “and I was daily” or “and I, wisdom, existed from sunrise to sunset” “his delight” which means “his, Jehovah God's, enjoyment and pleasure”, “rejoicing always before him” or “laughing, playing, mocking and making sport at each, every, the whole and in totality in the presence, face and front of him, Jehovah God”. Solomon said “wisdom” accompanied Jehovah God each and every day while having enjoyment and pleasure in His presence.
When we consider Solomon's words in this verse, we discover how “wisdom” accompanied Jehovah God at all times, and every day “wisdom” rejoices and celebrates within His presence. God employed His “wisdom” in Creation, and He does the same with His plan of salvation as He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we may live with Him forever. When we believe and trust in Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and equip us with His constant and consistent “wisdom” for living our lives before His eyes in this world and in Heaven to come.
Next time Solomon says wisdom was, “rejoicing in the habitable part of the earth”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
