In the book of Proverbs Solomon said God's wisdom existed, “While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world”, and in chapter eight and verse twenty-seven of Proverbs Solomon said of God's wisdom, “when he prepared the heavens, I was there” where we read,
When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
The verse begins, “When he prepared the heavens, I was there:” Solomon began with the words, “when he prepared the heavens” or “at the time and moment he, Jehovah God, formed, made stable, established, fixed and securely determined the visible skies, atmosphere, universe and abode of Jehovah God”, “I was there” which means “I, wisdom, was present and existed”. Solomon shared how “wisdom” was present at the time and moment Jehovah God formed and fashioned the skies, atmosphere and His own dwelling place.
The verse continues, “when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:” Solomon added the words, “when he set a compass” or “at the time and moment he, Jehovah God, decreed, inscribed and appointed a circuit, circle or vault” “upon the face” which means “on the presence, surface and countenance” “of the depth” or “belonging to the deep places, abyss and subterranean sea”. Solomon said “wisdom” was also present during the time Jehovah God inscribed a circuit upon the subterranean seas.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how “wisdom” was also present at the time Jehovah God made the skies, atmosphere and His Heavenly abode, and “wisdom” existed as Jehovah God put the circuit within the sea depths. God is the Almighty Creator, and He employed His “wisdom” to fashion and form the “heavens” above and the deep places in the “sea”. This same God desires to have a personal intimate relationship with us through His Son Jesus, and when we surrender our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and provide us with His Holy Spirit to have His “wisdom” to make our way in the world.
Next time Solomon says wisdom was there, “when he established the clouds above”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
