Establishing the Clouds - Proverbs 8:28

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said Jehovah God's wisdom existed, “While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth”, and in chapter eight and verse twenty-eight of Proverbs Solomon said wisdom was there, “when he established the clouds above” where we read,

When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

The verse begins, “When he established the clouds above:” Solomon began with the words, “when he established” or “at the time and moment he, Jehovah God, set, fixed, strengthened, secured, and made firm” “the clouds above” which means “the dust, vapor, firmament and sky over the earth”. Solomon shared how “wisdom” was fixed in place as Jehovah God formed and fashioned the vapors in the skies.

The verse goes on to say, “when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:” Solomon continued with the words, “when he strengthened the fountains” or “at the time and moment he, Jehovah God, made strong and firm the springs, furrows and wells” “of the deep” which means “belonging to abyss, depth of waters and subterranean water supply”. Solomon said “wisdom” existed at the time Jehovah God made strong and firm the springs and furrows within the oceans and subterranean water supplies.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how Jehovah God's “wisdom” was present at the time He formed and fashioned the “clouds” and deep places within the oceans and underground water supplies. God is an all wise God, and He desires to give us His “wisdom” as we yield to His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. When we surrender to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to know and experience His wise ways as we conduct ourselves beneath His created “clouds above” and over his “fountains of the deep”.

Next time Solomon says wisdom was there, “when he gave to the sea his decree”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
