The Eyes of the LORD are in Every Place - Proverbs 15:3

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “the tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness”, and in chapter fifteen and verse three of Proverbs Solomon said, “the eyes of the LORD are in every place” where we read,

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

The verse begins, “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, ...” Solomon began with the words, “the eyes of the LORD” or “the vision and mental and spiritual faculties belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “are in every place” which means “exist within each, all, the whole and everyone of the locations, stations, posts and offices”. Solomon shared how the vision and spiritual faculties of Jehovah God are in every location.

The verse goes on to say, “... beholding the evil and the good.” Solomon continued with the words, “beholding the evil” or “looking at, watching and observing the wickedness, affliction, adversity, harm and ill-favor” “and the good” which means “and the pleasant, agreeable, excellent and valuable”. Solomon said Jehovah God employs His vision and spiritual insight to observe the wickedness and the excellence that are everywhere.

When we meditate the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon the Jehovah God is watching everything that happens. He sees the “good” practices of mankind, and He sees the wicked practices as well. He knows, “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (See Romans 3:23), and everyone needs to receive His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of the world as their personal “Savior and Lord”. When we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and lead us to the truth by His Holy Spirit so He beholds the “good” that He has put within us.

Next time Solomon says, “a wholesome tongue is a tree of life”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
