In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”, and in chapter six and verse seven of Proverbs Solomon said the ant has, “no guide, overseer, or ruler” where we read,
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, ...
The verse begins, “Which having no guide, ...”. Solomon began with the words, “which having no guide” or “who, the ant, not possessing or owning any chief, ruler, commander or dictator” or any of the following. Solomon considered how the “ant” doesn't possess a commander or dictator in it's life.
The verse continues, “... overseer, or ruler, ...” Solomon added the words, “overseer” or “official, officer, superintendent or magistrate”, “or ruler” which means “or one to reign, have dominion or govern over”. Solomon added that the “ant” has neither a superintendent nor one to govern over them.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how Solomon continues to have his readers consider the “ant” as he describes the lack of supervision the “ant” requires to perform it's duties. There is no commander, magistrate or governor over the “ant” to cause it to function. The ant just does it's work. God wants us to have inspiration from within to fulfill His purposes in our lives as well. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and fill us with His Holy Spirit so we will be motivated to accomplish what He desires in, with and through us in the world.
Next time Solomon says the ant, “provides her meat in the summer”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
