My Helps Comes from the LORD - Psalms 121:2

In Psalms one hundred twenty-one David said, “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from where comes my help”, and in chapter one hundred twenty-one and verse two David said, “my help comes from the LORD” where we read,

My help comes from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

The verse begins, “My help comes from the LORD, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “my help” or “my, the David's, succor, aid and assistance” “comes from the LORD” which means “enters, is attained and enumerated by way of Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. David declared that his aid and assistance was attained by way of Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say, “... which made heaven and earth. David continued with the words, “which made heaven” or “who fashioned, accomplished and produced the visible sky, universe, atmosphere and abode of God” “and earth” which means “and the country, territory, district, region and world”. David recognized Jehovah God as the fashioner and Creator of both the “heavens” and the “world”.

When we mediate upon the words in this verse, we learn how David knew the source of his assistance was Jehovah God who Created the “heaven and earth”. There is no greater “help” available, and this same God desires to have a personal intimate relationship with us through His Son Jesus who came to be crucified for our sins. When we yield to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and use His Creative power to give us aid whenever we have a time of need.

Next time the Psalmist says, “he will not suffer your foot to be moved”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
