The LORD is Your Keeper - Psalms 121:5

In Psalms one hundred twenty-one David said, “He will not suffer your foot to be moved: he that keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep”, and in chapter one hundred twenty-one and verse five David said, “the LORD is your keeper” where we read,

The LORD is your keeper: the LORD is your shade upon your right hand.

The verse begins, The LORD is your keeper: David began with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is your keeper” which means “exists as your, the readers and listeners of David's words', guard, watch, protection and observer”. David shared how Jehovah God is the observer and protector of people who were reading and listening to his words.

The verse continues, “the LORD is your shade upon your right hand. David added the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is your shade” which means “exists as your, the readers and listeners of David's words', shadow, defense and protection” “upon your right hand” or “on your, the readers and listeners of David's words', right hand of power, authority, might and strength”. David said Jehovah God existed as the protection and defense of the power, strength and authority of the people listening to his words.

When we meditate upon David's words in this verse, we discover how he said Jehovah God was his readers and listeners' guard and defense, and He was the protector of their power, might and strength. God gives people abilities because He loves them, and He watches over them according to His Divine purpose and plan. God wants a personal relationship with people through His Son Jesus who was crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and watch over and protect us and our God given abilities and strengths.

Next time the Psalmist says, “the sun shall not smite you by day”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
