In the book of Proverbs Solomon said to his son, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding”, and in chapter three and verse six of Proverbs Solomon said, “in all your ways acknowledge” the LORD where we read,
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
The verse begins, “In all your ways acknowledge him, ...”. Solomon began with the words, “in all your ways” or “within each, every, the whole and everyone of your, Solomon's son's, roads, journeys, direction and manners” “acknowledge him” which means “perceive, see, discern, distinguish and learn to know him, Jehovah God”. Solomon instructed his son to perceive and learn to know Jehovah God in every direction of his life.
The verse continues, “... and he shall direct your path.” Solomon added the words, “and he shall direct” or “and he, Jehovah God, will make right, straighten, level and make smooth” “your path” which means “your, Solomon's son's, road, way, passing of life and travel”. Solomon said Jehovah God would straighten and make smooth the travels and passing of the life of his son when he acknowledged God in everything he did.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how Solomon instructed his son to perceive and learn to know Jehovah God at all times, and when he did, God would straighten his travels. God wants to be involved in our lives, and He will help us regardless of what we encounter when we yield to His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. When we surrender to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us “acknowledge” Him as He leads us according to His perfect plan and will.
Next time Solomon says, “Be not wise in your own eyes”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
