None Return Again - Proverbs 2:19

In the book of Proverbs Solomon shared how the strange woman, “forsakes the guide of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God. For her house inclines unto death, and her paths unto the dead”, and in chapter two and verse nineteen of Proverbs Solomon said, “none that go unto her return again” where we read,

None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

The verse begins, “None that go unto her return again, .... Solomon began with the words, “none that go in unto her” or “not one person who attains, enumerates or enters into her, the strange woman” “return again” which means “turn back, repent, refresh or repair another time”. Solomon shared how anyone who is enumerated with the “strange woman” is unable to turn back to their previous state again.

The verse goes on to say, “... neither take they hold of the paths of life.” Solomon continued with the words, “neither take they hold” or “no and not in any way do they, the people who go into the strange woman, get, overtake, reach, secure and have enough” “of the paths of life” which means “pertaining to the ways, travels, rank and way of living belonging to flowing, fresh and active living”. Solomon said the people who “go into” the “strange woman” are unable to reach and overtake fresh, flowing and active living.

When we consider Solomon's words in this verse, we learn how the person who gives into the temptation of the “strange woman” not only lose their previous state, but they also are unable to secure active and overflowing life again. This is not God's plan for us. Jesus said, “The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (See John 10:10), and He was sent by His Heavenly Father God into the world to die on the cross for the sins, errors and wrongs of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us to secure our present state of living and the age abiding and eternal life that will be with Him.

Next time Solomon shares his words so his son will, “walk in the way of good men, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
