In Psalms one hundred and three David said, “Bless the LORD, you his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless you the LORD, all you his hosts; you ministers of his, that do his pleasure”, and in chapter one hundred three and verse twenty-two of Psalms David said, “Bless the LORD, all his works in all places” where we read,
Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
The verse begins, “Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion:” David began with the words, “Bless the LORD” or “salute, kneel to and praise Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “all his works” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of the labors, deeds and acts” “in all places” or “within each, every, the whole and everyone of the locations, land, territory and world” “of his dominion” which means “belonging to his, David's, rule, realm, government and power”. David instructed his readers and listeners to salute and praise Jehovah God for His every one of His works, labors and acts which are worldwide.
The verse goes on to say, “bless the LORD, O my soul.” David continues with the words, “bless the LORD” or “salute, kneel to and praise Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “O my soul” which means “O my, David's, inner being, mind, will, living and seat of emotions and appetites”. David instructed himself was to praise Jehovah God from deep within his heart and mind.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David invited His fellow compatriots to praise, worship and adore Jehovah God. Although some people were against Jehovah God, God was David's Creator and Divine Ruler. This same God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for the sins of all mankind, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to bless Him with all our hearts and minds throughout eternity.
Next time we begin a new chapter and see the Psalmist say, “Bless the LORD, O my soul”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
