In Psalms one hundred four the Psalmist said of Jehovah God, “Who covers yourself with light as with a garment: who stretches out the heavens like a curtain. Who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters: who makes the clouds his chariot: who walks upon the wings of the wind”, and in chapter one hundred four and verse four of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Who makes his angels spirits” where we read,
Who makes his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
The verse begins, “Who makes his angels spirits;” The Psalmist began with the words, “who makes his angels” or “who, Jehovah God, fashions, accomplishes and produces his, Jehovah God's, messengers, representatives, ambassadors, envoys and worshipers” “spirits” which means “wind, breath and air”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God fashions His messengers and ambassadors like the air and breath.
The verse continues, “his ministers a flaming fire:” David added the words, “his ministers” or “his, Jehovah God's, servants, worshipers and waiters” “a flaming fire” which means “in likeness to a scorching blaze”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God causes and fashions His servants and worshipers to exist like a scorching blaze.
When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist likened Jehovah God's messengers to a breath of air and His servants and worshipers to a blazing and scorching flame. In other words, God oversees all those who belong to Him. God loves people, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, so when they believe and trust in Him as their personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive their sins, grant them everlasting life and allow them to discover His oversight of those who follow Him like a breath of air and flaming fire.
Next time the Psalmist says of Jehovah God, “Who laid the foundations of the earth”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
