Psalms one hundred nineteen and verse one hundred and thirty seven begins the next section of this chapter with the Hebrew letter, “TZADDI” where the Psalmist said, “righteous are you, O LORD” where we read,
Righteous are you, O LORD, and upright are your judgments.
The verse begins, “Righteous are you, O LORD, ...” The Psalmist began with the words, “righteous are you” or “just, lawful, right and correct do you, Jehovah God, exist”, “O LORD” which means “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist declared the rightness and lawfulness of Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “... and upright are your judgments.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “and upright” or “and straight, correct, right, pleasing and straightforward” “are your judgments” which means “exist your, Jehovah God's, justice, ordinance, deciding of a case, process, procedure and litigation”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God's ordinances and acts of deciding a case were straightforward and correct.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how the Psalmist declared Jehovah God to be right and correct, and His ordinances were straight and right as well. God does all things well, and He desires a personal relationship with every person who will yield their lives to His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and instruct us in His just character and His straightforward procedures.
Next time the Psalmist says to Jehovah God, “your testimonies that you have commanded are righteous”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
