Time for the LORD to Work - Psalms 119:126

In Psalms one hundred nineteen the Psalmist said to Jehovah God, “I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies”, and in chapter one hundred nineteen and verse one hundred and twenty-six of Psalms the Psalmist said to Jehovah God, “it is time for you, LORD, to work” where we read,

It is time for you, LORD, to work: for they have made void your law.

The verse begins, It is time for you, LORD, to work: The Psalmist began with the words, “it is time for you” or “the proper moment has arrived for you, Jehovah God”, “LORD” which refers to “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “to work” or “to fashion, accomplish, make, produce, prepare and put in order”. The Psalmist declared that the moment had arrived for Jehovah God to accomplish and produce His desire.

The verse continues, for they have made void your law. The Psalmist added the words, “for they have made void” or “because, since and on account that they, the people whether male or female, have broken, frustrated, violated and made ineffectual” “your law” which means “your, Jehovah God's, direction, instruction, custom, manner codes of law”. The Psalmist referred to people who violated and made ineffectual Jehovah God's instruction and codes of law.

When we consider the Psalmist's words in this verse, we learn how he proclaimed to Jehovah God that the time had come for Him to put all in things in order because people had violated His law. The Psalmist did not want God to delay, and we can relate to this when we see wickedness and evil arise in our day. God wants a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus, however, not all people believe in Him and therefore follow after ways which are opposed to God. If we will humble ourselves, repent of our sins and ask Jesus to come into our hearts and lives, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and contend with people who “make void” His instruction and commandments for living.

Next time the Psalmist says to Jehovah God, “I love your commandments above gold”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
