Knowledge Too Wonderful for Me - Psalms 139:6

In Psalms one hundred and thirty nine David said of Jehovah God, there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, you know it altogether. You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me”, and in chapter one hundred and thirty nine and verse six of Psalms David said, such knowledge is too wonderful for mewhere we read,

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

The verse begins, Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; David began with the words, “such knowledge” or “this type of perception, skill, discernment, understanding and wisdom” “is too wonderful for me” which means “exists as incomprehensible and extraordinary for me, David”. David expressed how the perception and discernment of Jehovah God compassing him was incomprehensible to him.

The verse continues, “it is high, I cannot attain unto it . David added the words, “it is high” or “it, the knowledge that Jehovah God knows everything about him, exists as inaccessibly exalted and lofty”, “I cannot attain unto it” which means “I, David, am unable and incapable of gaining, achieving and reaching it, the knowledge of Jehovah God”. David said the knowledge of Jehovah God concerning him was well beyond his own ability for him to comprehend.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how David marveled at the ability of Jehovah God to know Him like He did. Even though David lived his own life, God knew him better than he knew himself. Self knowledge is limited, but “such knowledge” is not too great for God. God knows all of us, and He is well aware of everything about us. He knows we need a “Savior” because we have errors, wrongs and mistakes in our lives. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us to rely upon His knowledge about us and not just to rely upon our own.

Next time David asks, where shall I go from your spirit?, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
