In Psalms one hundred and forty one David said to Jehovah God, “Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity”, and in chapter one hundred and forty one and verse ten of Psalms David said, “let the wicked fall into their own nets” where we read,
Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while that I withal escape.
The verse begins, “Let the wicked fall into their own nets, ...” David began with the words, “let the wicked fall” or “allow and permit people who are criminal, guilty of crimes, evil and hostile to God be cast into, down and assigned by lot” “into their own nets” which means “in their, the wicked people's, own personal snares, dark areas of concealment and blackened heat”. David wanted the wicked people to be cast into their own dark areas of concealment.
The verse goes on to say, “... while that I withal escape.” David continued with the words, “while that I” or “during the time and moment that I, David” “withal escape” which means “am united together to pass over, advance through and beyond the wicked people”. David added that he wanted Jehovah God to bring reciprocity upon the wicked during the time that he passed over and got away from them.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David knew how to give the power of vengeance upon his enemies over to Jehovah God. God would not only judge these evildoers, but would preserve David as he journeyed away from them. God loves people, and when we commit ourselves to His Son Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and bring judgment upon those who set “nets” for us as He allows us to “escape” from their pernicious acts and deeds.
Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “I cried unto the LORD with my voice”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
