God Has Dealt Well with His Servant - Psalms 119:65

Psalms one hundred nineteen and verse sixty-five begins the next section of this Psalm with the Hebrew letter “TETH” where the Psalmist said, “you have dealt well with your servant” where we read,

You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, according unto your word.

The verse begins, “You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “you have dealt well” or “you, Jehovah God, have done, fashioned, made and produced that which is pleasant, agreeable, rich, appropriate and valuable” “with your servant” which means “beside and alongside your, Jehovah God's, bondman, man of servile condition and worshiper”, “O LORD” or “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist acknowledged how Jehovah God treated him with value while he served Him.

The verse continues, “... according unto your word.” The Psalmist added the words, “according unto” or “in keeping with” “your word” which means “your, Jehovah God's, speech, utterance, business, occupation, acts, matters and manner”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God “dealt well” with him in keeping with His speech and manner.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how the Psalmist knew Jehovah God treated him very well, and this was in keeping with His ordinances and ways. God loves people, and His desire is to have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and deal with us in a manner that is in accordance with His ordinances and law.

Next time the Psalmist says, “teach me good judgment and knowledge”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
