Let God's Mercies Come unto Me - Psalms 119:41

Psalms one hundred nineteen and verse forty one begins the fifth section with the Hebrew letter “VAU” where the Psalmist said, “let your mercies come also unto me, O LORD” where we read,

Let your mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even your salvation, according to your word.

The verse begins, Let your mercies come also unto me, O LORD, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “let your mercies” or “allow and permit your, Jehovah God's, goodnesses, kindnesses and faithfulness to” “come also unto me” which means “even so and indeed enter, fall upon and be enumerated to me, the Psalmist”, “O LORD” or “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist wanted Jehovah God's goodness, faithfulness and kindness to indeed to fall upon Him.

The verse goes on to say, even your salvation, according to your word.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “even your salvation” or “in accordance with your, Jehovah God's, rescue, deliverance and liberation”, “according to your word” which means “in keeping with your, Jehovah God's, utterance, speech and commandment”. The Psalmist wanted Jehovah God to allow His goodness and kindness to come to him in accordance with the deliverance and liberation of His utterance and commandment.

When we think through the Psalmist's words in this verse, we see how he desired the goodness and kindness of Jehovah God, and He wanted them to be in measure that is equal to God's rescue and deliverance. God is faithful to His “word”, and He offers salvation from sin to every person through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield our lives to Him, he will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow His deliverance to come unto us in accordance with His “word”.

Next time the Psalmist says, “so shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproaches me”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
