Rejoicing in the Way of God's Testimonies - Psalms 119:14

In Psalms one hundred nineteen the Psalmist's said, “Blessed are you, O LORD: teach me your statutes. With my lips have I declared all the judgments of your mouth”, and in chapter one hundred nineteen and verse fourteen of Psalms the Psalmist said to Jehovah God, “I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies where we read,

I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, as much as in all riches.

The verse begins, I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “I have rejoiced” or “I, the Psalmist, have exulted, been glad, cheerful and with great joy” “in the way” which means “within the journey, manner, road way and path” “of your testimonies” or “pertaining to your, Jehovah God's, witnesses”. The Psalmist shared how he was joyful and filled with cheer as he journeyed according to the witness of Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say, “... as much as in all riches.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “as much as” or “even as” “in all riches” which means “within each, every, the whole and everyone of the things of wealth, substance, price and high value”. The Psalmist said his “rejoicing” within the “testimonies of Jehovah God” were like unto valuable wealth and substance to him.

When we consider the Psalmist's words in this verse, we learn how he was joyful in the witness of Jehovah God, and they were so valuable to him, that he considered them great “riches”. God wants us to know Him and His great love for everyone. He gave His Only Begotten Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we believe and trust in Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us to consider God's “witness” as true wealth and of high value.

Next time the Psalmist says, “I will meditate in your precepts”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
