Vapors Ascending from the Earth - Psalms 135:7

In Psalms one hundred thirty five the Psalmist said, “Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places”, and in chapter one hundred thirty five and verse seven of Psalms the Psalmist said, “He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth” where we read,

He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain;

he brings the wind out of his treasuries.

The verse begins, “He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain; The Psalmist began with the words, “he causes the vapors” or “he, Jehovah God, makes the rising mist” “to ascend” which means “to rise, be increased and offered” “from the ends of the earth” or “apart from the extremity, border and outskirts belonging to the region, country, district and world”. “He makes lightnings” which means “he, Jehovah God, fashions, accomplishes and produces the lightning flashes or arrow-heads” “for the rain” or “on behalf of the water falling from the clouds.” The Psalmist shared how Jehovah God is responsible for the rising mist from the extremities of the world, and He produced the lightning flashes on behalf of the water falling from the clouds.

The verse goes on to say, “he brings the wind out of his treasuries. The Psalmist continued with the words, “he brings the wind” or “he, Jehovah God, carries and leads the breath of air” “out of his treasuries” which means “from his, Jehovah God's, storehouses, magazines or depositories”. The Psalmist shared how Jehovah God leads the breaths of air from His storehouses and depositories.

When we think through the Psalmist's words in this verse, we see how Jehovah God is responsible for the mist that rises from the earth, the lighting, the rain and the wind. God has many resources from which to draw in His creation, and even though He has all that power and ability, He desires to have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield our lives to Him, we align with His purpose for people, are forgiven of our sins and granted eternal life with Him in Heaven.

Next time the Psalmist says, “He smote the firstborn of Egypt”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
