In Psalms one hundred thirty five the Psalmist said, “For the LORD has chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure. For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods”, and in chapter one hundred thirty five and verse six of Psalms the Psalmist shared about, “Whatsoever the LORD pleased” where we read,
Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
The verse begins, “Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, ...” The Psalmist began with the words, “whatsoever the LORD pleased” or “the whole, every and anything that Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God delighted in, took pleasure in, desired and favored”, “that did he in heaven” which means “that thing Jehovah God performed, produced and accomplished within the visible skies, atmosphere and abode of Jehovah God”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God was able to do whatever He desired in the visible skies, atmosphere and His sidereal home.
The verse continues, “... and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.” The Psalmist added the words, “and in earth” or “and within the country, region, district and world”, “in the seas” which means “within the great bodies of waters”, “and all deep places” or “and each, every, the whole and everyone of the abysses, primeval oceans, depths of rivers and the grave”. The Psalmist shared how Jehovah God also performed whatever He desired within the world, waters and deepest depths of the earth.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist shared about Jehovah God's creative wonders in the “heavens and earth”, and He was not limited in His work regardless of where it was on land, sea or sky. This same God loves us, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us about His marvelous and wonderful works on the earth and in the skies.
Next time the Psalmist says, “He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
