The Voice of Rejoicing and Song - Psalms 118:15

In Psalms one hundred eighteen the Psalmist said, “The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation”, and in chapter one hundred eighteen and verse fifteen of Psalms the Psalmist shared about, “the voice of rejoicing and salvation” where we read,

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous:

the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

The verse begins, The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: The Psalmist began with the words, “the voice of rejoicing” or “the sound or noise of lightness, frivolity and bleating words pertaining to a ringing cry, entreaty, supplication, joy and praise” “and salvation” which means “and deliverance, liberation and rescue” “is in the tabernacles” or “exists within the tent, transient dwelling place, habitation and sacred tent” “of the righteous” which means “belonging to the just, right, correct and lawful”. The Psalmist said the noise and sound of joy, praise and deliverance exists within the temporary dwelling places of people who are right and just.

The verse continues, “the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.” The Psalmist added the words, “the right hand” or “the right hand of power, might and authority” “of the LORD” which means “belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “does valiantly” or “fashions, accomplishes, makes and produces efficiency, wealth, might and ability”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God's right hand of power, might and authority performs with efficiency, wealth and ability.

When we think through the Psalmist's words in this verse, we see how the he declared the sound and noise of joy, praise and a ringing cry to exist within the dwelling place of people who are just, right and correct. God's powerful right hand of authority performs mighty acts, and the greatest of them was when He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield to Him as our personal “Lord and Savior”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be among the “rejoicing” in our homes as we understand His “right hand” of authority rules and produces whatever is necessary for our lives.

Next time the Psalmist says, “the right hand of the LORD is exalted”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
