Beasts, Cattle, Creeping Things and Flying Fowl - Psalms 148:10

In Psalms one hundred and forty eight the Psalmist said, “Praise the LORD from the earth, you dragons, and all deeps. Fire, and hail; snow, and vapor; stormy wind fulfilling his word. Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars”, and in Psalms one hundred and forty eight and verse ten the Psalmist shared about about, “beasts, and all cattle, creeping things, and flying fowl” where we read,

Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

The verse begins, Beasts, and all cattle;. The Psalmist began with the word, “beasts” or “living, alive, active, sustaining and maintaining animals”, “and all cattle” which means “and each, every, the whole and everyone of the livestock or domestic animals”. The Psalmist recalled the active and domestic animals that were to give honor and thanksgiving to Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say, “creeping things, and flying fowl:” The Psalmist continued with the words, “creeping things” or “moving and gliding creatures like reptiles”, “and flying fowl” which means “and birds that take flight”. The Psalmist included Jehovah God's “creeping” reptiles and birds that fly that were to give Him glory, honor and praise.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist added God's wild animals, domesticated animals, creeping reptiles and birds that fly to be among those that give Him thanksgiving and glory. God is a wonderful Creator, and everything He made was designed to bring pleasure and honor to Him. We too were made to bring pleasure to God, and when we receive His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be among the “beasts, cattle, creeping things and birds that fly” to give Him thanksgiving and glory.

Next time the Psalmist shares about, “kings of the earth, and all people”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
