In Psalms one hundred and forty eight the Psalmist said, “Praise the LORD from the earth, you dragons, and all deeps”, and in chapter one hundred and forty eight and verse eight of Psalms the Psalmist shared about about, “fire, and hail; snow, and vapor” where we read,
Fire, and hail; snow, and vapor; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
The verse begins, “Fire, and hail; snow, and vapor;”. The Psalmist began with the words, “fire, and hail” or “supernatural flaming, roasting and parching as well as hailstones”; “snow, and vapor” which means “white snow from the sky and thick smoke, fumes or clouds”. The Psalmist referred to supernatural flames, white snow and thick fumes or clouds giving “praise” to Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “stormy wind fulfilling his word:” The Psalmist continued with the words, “stormy wind” or “tempests, whirlwinds, hurricanes or storms” “fulfilling his word” which means “fashioning, accomplishing, making and producing his, Jehovah God's, speech, utterance, speaking, business, occupation, acts, matter and manner”. The Psalmist included the tempests and storms accomplishing the utterances and business of Jehovah God.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist employed more of God's created elements to give Him “praise” and honor. When God's creation worships Him, it aligns with His purpose and pleasure. God created us, and He wants a personal relationship with us. He gave His Son Jesus to the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to join the “fire, hail, snow, vapors and stormy wind” to give thanksgiving and honor to Him.
Next time the Psalmist shares about, “mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
