In the book of Proverbs Solomon said the LORD, “keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of his saints. Then shall you understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yes, every good path”, and in chapter two and verse ten of Proverbs Solomon began to share what happens, “when wisdom enters into your heart” where we read,
When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto your soul;
The verse begins, “When wisdom enters into your heart, ...”. Solomon began with the words, “when wisdom” or “at the time and moment skill, shrewdness and prudence” “enters into your heart” which means “comes forth and proceeds within your, Solomon's son and the godly and pious person's, soul, mind, will, desires, living being, conscience and seat of emotions and affections”. Solomon considered the time and moment that shrewdness and prudence comes within a godly person's soul, mind and will.
The verse continues, “... and knowledge is pleasant unto your soul;” Solomon added the words, “and knowledge” or “and perceptions, skill, discernment and understanding” “is pleasant” which means “exists as beautiful, sweet, delightful and lovely” “unto your soul” or “toward your, Solomon's son and the godly and pious person's, heart, mind, will, desires, conscience, living being and seat or emotions and affections”. Solomon consider the time that skill, discernment and understanding exists as beautiful and sweet to the pious person's heart, mind and will.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how Solomon considered the time that skill and prudence comes into the godly person's soul. He understood how perception and understanding is available to the heart and mind of the person who is faithful and pious. God's “wisdom and knowledge” are available to everyone through a personal relationship with His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we put our faith and trust in Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us His skill, prudence, discernment and understanding within our “hearts and souls” to employ every day of our lives.
Next time Solomon says, “discretion shall preserve you”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
