While looking toward the plain of life
before my eyes appeared
a tumbleweed blown by the wind
quite fast and drawing near
And thus aligned did not forbear
the tangled thicket brought
enwrapped it's vine and thorny binds
till deep within was caught
And wrestling round the matted whirl
my life did spin despair
while legs and arms and body thrown
completely in the air
And all the while I wondered why
did not avoid the pain
by simply letting weed pass by
thus stepping by it's aim
But once was freed my mind did muse
the constant flow assaults
of tumbleweeds that one by one
dare came without my fault
And certain sure the weeds did come
and one by one did roll
but as they came I did avoid
my choice to save my soul
Now looking fast and study quick
when tumbleweeds arise
move to the side let weeds pass by
and save my lucid mind
