In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “the LORD gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding”, and in chapter two and verse seven of Proverbs Solomon said, “he lays up sound wisdom for the righteous” where we read,
He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
The verse begins, “He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous:”. Solomon began with the words, “he lays up sound wisdom” or “He, Jehovah God, treasures up, reserves and specifically lurks and hides success, efficient knowledge, help and ability” “for the righteous” which means “on behalf of people who are right, just, correct and lawful”. Solomon shared how Jehovah God treasures and specifically reserves efficient knowledge on behalf of people who are just, correct and lawful.
The verse goes on to say, “he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.” Solomon added the words, “he is a buckler” or “he, Jehovah God, exists as a protector, armed defense and shield” “to them that walk uprightly” which means “toward the people who depart, move away and live in a complete, innocent, full and simplistic manner”. Solomon said Jehovah God exists as an armed defense to people who make their way in a complete and innocent manner.
When we meditate upon Solomon's words in this verse, we learn that Jehovah God stores up knowledge and understanding for people who are just and lawful, and He exists as an armed shield to people who make their way through life in a full and innocent manner. God is for us, and He loves us. He desires to have a personal relationship with us through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us His “wisdom” and protection as we live lawfully before His eyes.
Next time Solomon says, “he keeps the paths of judgment”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
